A Bit About Us

For A Purpose, INC. is a community-based 501 c3 non-profit organization whose focus is to build, guide, and uplift inner-city youth and adults ages 13 to 21, who have experienced difficulties with coping and coming of age in their inner-communities.  The primary focus is to support, educate, counsel, train, and develop these young minds that would otherwise not be engaged due to their neighborhood circumstances and/or the absenteeism of parental support.  The plan is to give hope to the hopeless.

The mission of For A Purpose, INC. is to promote mental health stability through case and care management, provide leadership skills, life skills, training, therapeutic support, and a myriad of individual programs that will benefit the hardest-hit demographic, which are the youth from ages 13 to 21.  The overall goal is to provide whole-life development.  In the development of our programs, our vision is to partner with other non-profit organizations with similar goals and objectives to create a hybrid plan for identifying, mentoring, and saving the youth and youth adults from potentially committing criminal acts and to assist in halting the recidivism rate in the judicial system.
